What happens next

After you submit the form or call, a member of our team will reach out within one business day to learn about your situation. The first conversation is a free case review, and an attorney is involved in evaluating every case. We will listen, ask questions, and give you an honest assessment of whether your case fits our practice.

If your case does not fit

We will tell you. We will recommend a firm that handles it well. We do not take cases that do not fit our trial-preparation model, because doing so would compromise the cases we do take.

Submitting this form does not create an attorney-client relationship. Please do not include confidential information.

Common questions, answered.

How quickly will someone respond after I contact the firm?

The phone line at (314) 293-4222 is available 24 hours a day, and calling is the fastest route. Messages sent through this page are reviewed by an attorney rather than sorted by a screening service. If your situation is time-sensitive, for example a crash that happened today or an insurer asking you to sign something, call rather than send a message.

Who reviews my case when I submit a message?

An attorney personally reviews every case that comes in. Inquiries are not triaged by a call center or passed to another firm without your knowledge. If the case is not one Finney Injury Law is the right firm for, you will be told that directly, which is more useful than being signed and then referred on.

Is what I share confidential if I have not hired the firm yet?

Information you send is treated as confidential and is not shared outside the firm. It is important to be clear about the limit, though: no attorney-client relationship is created by sending a message or submitting a form, and none exists until a written representation agreement is signed by both you and the firm. For that reason the firm's terms advise against sending confidential or time-sensitive material through this website. Describe what happened in general terms, and call for anything sensitive.

Can I speak with someone in Spanish?

Yes. The firm has English- and Spanish-speaking staff, including a bilingual pre-litigation paralegal, so a case can be discussed and handled in Spanish from the first conversation through resolution. Ask for Spanish when you call or mention it in your message.

Can I contact the firm if I already have a lawyer?

Yes. You are entitled to seek a second opinion and to change lawyers, and there is nothing improper about asking. A new firm will want to see the existing fee agreement before anything else. Where a previous firm has done work, its claim for fees or costs is normally sorted out between the firms rather than by charging you twice. One of the firm's larger premises results was a case another firm had already declined.
